MALAYSIA MY SECOND HOME The "MALAYSIA MY SECOND HOME" ("MM2H") programme is for people all over the world who qualify to stay in Malaysia for an indefinite period of time subject to renewal of pass every 10 years. The Ministry of Tourism Malaysia has appointed Res Mal (MM2H) Sdn. Bhd. as a licensed agent of this programme. The programme is open to all categories of citizens with no age limit and participants are allowed to bring along their children who are below 18 years old and a maid. The participant is free to live anywhere in Malaysia and buy residential properties for him or his family. The participant's children are able to go to any of the reputable international schools in Malaysia (under student visa). The participant can also invest in most categories of assets in Malaysia, i.e. real property, shares of company, bonds and fixed deposits. However, participants are not allowed to work/be employed while staying in Malaysia. Each participant is allowed to bring in his/her own personal car OR to purchase a locally-assembled car without the need to pay import duty, excise duty and sales tax. The principal financial criteria are as follows: Aged Below 50 years Aged Above 50 years Placement of RM300,000 fixed deposit Placement of RM150,000 fixed deposit OR show proof of off-shore income of RM10,000 per month derived from Government Approved Funds such as pensions.
